Barrel of Oil: A standard barrel of oil is 42 gallons. Gasoline from one barrel: An average barrel of oil produces 19.5 gallons of gasoline. Diesel from one barrel (the same barrel): Produces about 8 gallons of diesel per barrel. By producing more diesel, as demand rises, more gasoline is produced as well and, therefore, needs to be sold... producing a lower cost per gallon for gasoline. Heating oil and diesel fuel use the same portion of a barrel of oil and therefore, directly compete. Aviation fuel: One barrel of oil produces 4.1 gallons of Jet fuel (includes kerosene).
In March of 2005 (latest figures available) our country was using 320 MILLION gallons of gasoline per day! That’s 16.4 MILLION barrels of oil! If every vehicle had been equipped with an HFX (saving an estimated average of 47%) the US would have saved the world 7.7 MILLION barrels of oil PER DAY!!! That’s 2.8 BILLION barrels per year! At today’s price, of about $85 per barrel, that’s $238 BILLION we wouldn’t be sending OPEC and the Oil Companies each year! Spending less on fuel gives us the resources to save our economy! It’s just down right patriotic!!!
Oil prices are driven by supply and demand. We can increase the supply, click here, or we can reduce the demand, either will reduce prices. We at HFX, feel that no matter what the supply, our demand for oil must be reduced for the benefit of our Planet. Hydrocarbon emissions are choking us and killing our vegetation. Which chokes us even more, not to mention global warming.
Join us, our mission is simple! We want to improve the lives of those we know and love. Talk to your friends and family, let’s all save OUR planet one tank at a time!
